I took my lunch break to look for that contact switch and it was exactly as you both described. I tell ya, it's way up there too.

So that solved the issue in this post so I can close it out with a hearty thank you!

However, it didn't solve the original problem that caused me to take apart the dash to begin with. I'll create a separate post for that issue.
