There is no return line that I am aware of. When I replaced the rubber lines, there were only 2 at the tank (supply to pump & vent).

We had a 267 out of my cousins' '81 Monte with A/C back in the '90's that had a two line pump. I remember this cause we didn't need one when we tossed it into my dads' '78 Fireturd.

Yes sir. Original '78 5.0 as far as I know (I haven't checked serial numbers or anything but it's been owned by the same family since 1980 w/46k on the clock).

Guys, I've never seen a 3 line pump on a Malibu A/G body. My 81s both are 2 line (267-A/C cars), my 83s with 305s and A/c also had 2 line pumps.

Only 3 line Chevys I recall seeing were on BBC Chevelles of the 70s with 350HP 396s or better
