Very high front end issue

The lower coils breaking off on the front springs is a common GM problem, not just G-Bodies. I've had it happen on my A and B bodies too.
I may have to check this on my 70.

My 87 still has more wheel gap in front than yours with 1" lowering springs in mine as well.. wow do those hotchkiss shocks make a difference on stiffest setting. Can pedal to the metal in a U turn and car stays flat.
