I have finally put my GEN VI 454/TH400 in its home, but the oil pan is quite close to the crossmember and that is with a 1" shim on the transmission mount. I am using the stock oil pan, stock clamshells, and mounts. I have about 1/8" of clearance. Did anyone use the stock oil pan and not have clearance issues with the crossmember? Thanks for your time.

Why do you need a 1" shim under the trans mount?
Yeah, something isn't right. I am using a stock replacement anchor 2360 transmission mount with a JEGS transmission crossmember and stock replacement OER 332648 clamshells and anchor 2292 mounts. If I try to set the trans directly to the mount the oil pan contacts the engine crossmember. I am starting to think the OER clamshells are too low maybe. I know others have used the stock oil pan but am having a tough time finding those posts.

The 332648 is the bracket for the cars with the clamshell bases. You need the truck brackets for the clamshell bases.

Left to Right.
UMI aftermarket car engine brackets, Factory car brackets, Factory truck brackets.

The OER 332648 is listed as an Fbody clamshell, I don't know if there is a height difference between those and Gbody.

Is the Gen 6 oil pan deeper in the front than a Mark IV? When I first installed a BBC in my Monte I used the factory SBC 305 clamshell mounts and had no clearance issues.
