Ok, I wanted vortec heads ok they are kind of high for my pockets so are there any other type of heads that work just as well??

96-99 truck engines. The casting numbers end with 906 or 062. So when you open the hood of a 2000 or newer chevy pickup and see "vortec" on the engine cover and see aluminum heads, that is a whole different critter.
