Google donk

A Donk is a 1971-1976 Chevrolet Caprice/Impala only in stock or modified condition. It has absolutely nothing to do with wheels, paint, or suspension.

Just putting brand new OE springs and shocks will raise the car some. These cars did not sit very low when new.

If i read your wants correctly, you are going to need either bags all around, or hydraulics all around. As I understood it, you want to be able to raise and lower the car at will.

IMO neither makes for a very well riding/handling car

Like was said above, if the P.O. wants to be able to make adjustments up and down, then the system needs to be adjustable. So either old school hydraulics or newer school air bags would be required. I do have experience with air ride and find it to be excellent in being able to adjust on the fly. I didn't find it to be of poor quality ride. In fact, quite the opposite.

Hello, I want to raise the ride just a little. I have done some searching and what I have seen looks expensive. What are my options when trying to raise the ride slightly? Is there something out there that I can adjust the height? Is there anything out there that doesnt break the bank?! I was thinking air bags of some sort but most of what I see are for the rear only and other stuff is expensive.
Air shocks. Plumb front and back, lift n lower manually.

Going from stock saggy springs and blown out shocks, to stock height moog replacement sprigs (for a GN) raised my car up a good 2 inches. And going to15x7s with 225/70s from the 14x6s with 195/75s raised it another 3ish inches. I have more than a hand's width of ground clearance now for the driver's side exhaust lol.

I like the idea of air bags as well. Any idea about what something like that would cost?
