So my metric 200 is done for... I found a chevy turbo 400... Still got the stock 307... Has anyone done this and have any advice of what extra parts i need
A TH400 is a ton of extra work and parts.
A TH350 is a direct bolt-in, only a new kickdown cable and bracket are needed.
Were all TH400s dual bolt pattern? If not, you'll need an adapter plate unless it's a dual pattern or BOP trans.
Not all had dual bolt patterns.
I don't think there were any that I'm aware of. It's just that I don't know if 100% of them were not. Never say never when you don't know. All the TH400's I've ever dealt with were either BOP or Chevy bolt patterns. Hence the adapter plate requirement. But if there were any dual-patterns out there, I don't know of any. My main complaint with TH400 was the seemingly never-ending choices of tailshaft lengths. Sure, you could change them out, but not quickly.Where any TH400s dual bolt patterns? The only dual bolt pattern transmissions I have ever seen where the TH350s and 2004r.
