Thanks! Yeah, I also love this interior. I'm especially happy with the cloth interior--my '78 had red vinyl seats. I can't imagine doing that in this Houston heat!

Sidenote, the original 8-track stereo is in the trunk. Talk about memories. I remember getting one of those cassette adapters that you could fit in there only when the car was in Drive b/c it was so long. Anyone else do that? Mind you, I had the '78 in '85 'til about '91. Funny thing is, I actually had about 5 8-track tapes!

Wow!! That interior is verrry nice. I like the cloth fabric much better than velour and vinyl . Plus I'm sure it fares better in the hot Texas sun.
I think I'd have to agree with 84GP on the wheels. The Cragar SS's do look better, and look period correct for your GA.
I also agree that Pontiac was always a class act with their vehicles over the years.

I'm guessing this was an original owner car judging by the overall appearance.

Thanks again for posting more pics. I always thought the GA's had the engine turned dash and console bezels. Interesting.

Yep, one-owner car. The original owner drove it off the showroom floor, as I understand it. Babied it for 30 years. I know it was a sad moment for him when my husband put it on the trailer to come to its new home.

And yes, the cloth interior works MUCH better here!

Question for Sherry. Are the Cragar S/S wheels 14'" or 15"? I run 14 x 7 Rally II's from a 69' Grand Prix on my Grand Am.

What an awesome car. Beautifull. I would keep the snowflakes, but if you insist, I too vote for the Cragar SS's, but then I grew up on them in the 60's. Timeless classics.

Don57,
Could we see more of your car? It also looks like a beauty. and looks great with the Rallye II's.

Haven't taken many pictures lately. Here is one that was taken in the spring when she rolled out for a breath of fresh air. And a couple of pictures taken about two weeks ago while attending a local G.M. show. I was late arriving and had to park under a portion of the building. However, they snapped a picture with my foot in the secondaries (burnouts are a no-no). I love to drive this car but I don't get many chances. I previously completed a body-off and changed the Pontiac 301/TH200/2:29 rear to a Pontiac 400/TH350/3:08 rear. I'll take some video soon.

Sweet ride, Don.
It shows very well. I'll bet it does get up and go with the 400 in it. 8)

Thanks for posting the pics.

Welcome to the site.Beautiful car and the interior looks great...........Those cragars are really nice looking car on your ride.........Why not go Old Skool and throw on some weld drag lites🙂

Don57, I believe those wheels are 14". Thinking about 15" on the back. I like your Rally IIs--they look so clean. Beautiful car, BTW! Your colors are the exact reverse of what was on my first one (I had a '78, with maroon Rally IIs in fact). I may run a 400 one day but am in no hurry right now.

JBreu, thanks, I like the S/Ss too. I think we'll start by putting raised whites on the snowflakes already on it & see what I think. Of course, I'll post pics when we do this. Hmmm, hadn't really looked at the draglites! Got me thinkin'....
