weird electrical problem

have an 84 cutlass with a weird electrical problem, first off when I turn the headlight switch on all the lights come on but the headlights, second I have taillights but no brake lights checked and replaced both fusible links but at a loss for what could be the prfoblem

I'd check the headlight switch for the headlight problem and the micro switch on the brake pedal for the brake lites

i'm assuming you did check the bulbs? and the local connections?

I hot wired the headlights one of the bulbs were blown, then a day later the headlight switch starting back working. but still no brake lights except the light iluminated on my dash saying "brake" in addition I have no turn signals.

I check the brake light switch near the pedal don't believe it's the switch as the problem still existed even after jumpin the switch but I did note there was only 12+ at the brake switch while the ignition switch was on but no current with the igition off when I believe it should be.

Have you thought about just replacing the whole harness?
