Well, the unthinkable has happened...

Well it's in the shop and Qtr panels are back ordered. Looking for a donor car now.

May go ahead and change the paint to flat black while we are at it. Now sure if I like that better than the blue.
I would personally stick with blue, I feel the flat black has been played out in my opinion.

I thought the blue was pretty sharp. Did you check more than one source on the quarters? The reason I ask is that I had a rocker on back order for more than a month and started looking around and a another supplier had it in stock.

Thanks guys.

Yeah I looked at Ecklers and OPGI. I've acquired a donor car so am waiting to see how that works.

Made the decision today to go Satin Black with it. Should turn out nice I hope. Just waiting now but in no hurry.

Well, found a donor 79 cheap but it turned out to not be as clean as I wanted. Picked up a slick 81 roller that we are probably going to transfer everything over to. The black with the 79's tan interior should look nice I hope.

Well work has begun swapping the engine and transmission. The interior is rough but I'm thinking hard about keeping the burgundy with the flat black exterior. Thoughts? It's either clean up the burgundy from the 81 or transfer all the tan/camel from the original 79. Wanted your opinions. I'll post a few pics.

I say swap the tan. The burgundy is going to take a lot of work to get it back up to par, and from what I see the tan looks like it's almost new. I also personally prefer the tan colour.

Thanks. The tan is deceiving. The dash has lots of cracks and the door panels and rear seat panels are very scratched up and seem almost bleached out. Plus the tan bench seat cloth is very thin and has cigarette burns from a previous owner.

The largest thing I see with the burgundy is the top of the dash pad (I have a black spare that's nice) and the seats suck. They will have to be recovered.
