I read an article on an LS3 E-Rod swap into a '55 Bel Air, and it averaged 23 mpg over the course of the Hot Rod Power Tour. Considering the original 3.8 2-bbl was rated at 17/22, if I can nearly quadruple my power with about the same mileage, I'll be thrilled. :)
