To my knowledge it's ok but I might re-seal it anyway & see what happens

If it's confined to the passenger side, than it's probably your a/c-heater box.
The sealer used by the factory dries out and splits open over time.
Sometimes rust even starts to form along the top edge where the box meets the firewall...
