Damn leaks almost drove me crazy. FWIW my car leaked from the clogged heater/AC box drain, at the cowl seams on both sides, at the steering column seal, all along the windshield like at 20 spots, a tiny rust hole in the A pillar, and last but worst, a tiny 1" section of heater/AC box firewall seal that squished out when I redid it. I only found that one with a garden hose and a buddy with a flashlight and his head up in there watching. The fender kept me from finding it sooner. Now I'm warm and dry!

yep, mine leaks from there too... right on the bottom of the heater box, and also got some holes where the floor meets the firewall on the passenger side.
I still can't find the source of the leak on the driver side... probably won't until the entire fender comes off.

in the mean time, I've learned to live with the puddle that gathers after it rains... and I've added a new anti-leak tool to my emergency tool kit
... a spounge

ahhh, the pleasures of classic motoring :blam:

Did you pull the kick panel off and pull the carpet back for a peek? I'm not positive but I think there might be some fasteners that enter the drain area. I know on my Firebird that if you don't use sealer on the kick panel screws, they leak because they enter the drain area.

yeah, I did all that early last summer, in 2009. It had gotten so bad when I found it, the floor had started to rust. So I patched the floor, and my carpet has been out since. I actually found a small leak above the wiper motor, there's a seam that runs along the bracket hood hinge.
It's not the kickpanels... It's coming farther up, right along the very left hand corner, leaking down from somewhere above. I suspect it might be a bad seal where the wiring for the door goes out. Or a bad rubber gromet somewhere under the wiper motor.

I had a leak in mine that came down the A pillar and it turned out to be from the front windshield which was replaced less than 2 years ago so I'm not too happy with the shop that did it...

I like bonnewagons method of finding a leak best...

nice to have buddy's like that...

There is a spot where all the sheetmetal comes together at the extreme ends of the cowl/firewall just below the glass. In the picture posted above it would be where the 3 blue lines meet. The factory left a huge gap there and schmeared sealer on it and needless to say it gets old and crumbles. You can see it right up against the rear edge of the fender. I touched mine and it fell apart, so it's worth a look. Best way to test glass is in ther factory manual. Remove reveal molding, wash the gutters with soapy water, then blow air at the inside of the glass. Every single leak will be revealed as bubbles.
