I posted this over in Duke's "The Ghost" build thread, and figured why not make it its own thread to see what people would LIKE to do for 2019 concerning their G-body. Whether to get one, sell one, fix one, restore one, modify it.....etc. Paint on your blank canvas....

My New Year's resolution is to do my best to save the planet by burning my fossil fuels via internal combustion engines to try and use it all up so the global warming clan doesn't have a collective stroke 500 years from now.

As far as G-body stuff goes, I resolve to officially start the 85 442 frame-off in 2019. I am still finding and appropriating little trinket parts that I don't have, like some GM nuts and bolts, and minor stuff. If I waited until I had everything possible, I'd probably never get started. And you will see the build here. Likely won't be as cool as Hutch's 87 rebuild, but it should be good.

Plus, get motivated to change out the 87 442's power antenna mast and tube assembly. I don't dread the work itself, I'm just skittish about it being a 23K mile car and really don't want to f*ck anything up on it if possible. Not sure how I want to approach it, but it will be a how-to posted here when I do get 'round tuit.

As far as personal New Year's resolutions...haven't thought about that yet, but this is just supposed to be G-body related resolutions.

I'd say a big goal for me is to get the LS dropped, shift kit installed into the 4L80E and have it in the car. Essentially, I would love to have it running this year, but money doesn't grow on trees!!

A runnin', drivin', boostin' MCSS. It doesn't need to be perfect - just working.

The wagon needs the A/C finished and a worthwhile timeslip.

The rest is gravy (Natasha plans to procure her 3rd Gen Camaro in 2019).

It needs to drive out of the garage under it's own power. That probably means it's not getting a fresh 383LT1, but a 275 HP Camaro motor (it was in a Impala SS but checks out F-body) will be a hell of an improvement over the 180 hp 305. January will be 5 years since my smoking 305 failed emmissions and I couldn't get plates.

To try to survive until 2020!
