What did you do to/with your chainsaw today

Been running the mighty Poulan and the MS362 lightly. Day 1 I only felled 2 trees, but cut sooooo many pine branches. Today I burned the mountain and then began felling inside the property. I think this really deserves its own thread so that's where I'll be taking this going forward.

Cleaned them.

Unsurprisingly the Stihl wasn't as dirty as the Poulan, it was much easier on the operator to run the Poulan most of the time. I ran out of parts cleaner, I really need to squirt the cylinder head and this flywheel/fan once more before I cover it all back up. I then need to go back and pop the starter cover off of the Stihl, there was quite a bit back here. I ended up yanking the clutch on the Stihl as there were many books and crannies behind it holding onto sawdust. I knocked the sawdust out of its filter and cleaned/oiled the Poulan's. Ended up tuning the Poulan for altitude earlier, kicked my @$$ until I realized the idle speed screw needed full turns to respond. Once I had that a few tweaks with the fuel jets and it was good to go. The Stihl sorts tolerates the altitude, I used it to whack a few branches off the maple in our front yard before tuning the Poulan.

Hopefully now the tree grows upward and the rest of the branches trend the same way.

Last night I took a whack at hand sharpening the chain. If I screwed it up IDGAF as I have a new chain on hand. I got another can of parts cleaner today and finished cleaning both saws and their cases which were also filthy McNasty. Dumped the chain oil back into the jug to keep the leakage down to a dull roar. For fun I fired up the Poulan today, it farted on the first pull and started on the second. Sooooo much better than the last time I tried to use the thing here at altitude. Chances are I won't even use them again until next July.

I can't get ethanol free here, but they are loaded with some right now that I was able to get back in MI. If I'm smart, I'll get some stabilizer in there as well.
Even if pumps don't have it, if you're willing to overpay the canned fuel that some home improvement stores sold used to be ethanol free
