joesregalproject Well since guys on here usually have an answer for everything,I figured why this thread would be the best place for my question. I have a stihl 193t. View attachment 224121
This is the closest chain I could find at Lowes today. View attachment 224122
I found the right stihl chain on Amazon but I have a ton of downed branches I'd like to cut up today. I just don't want to ruin my saw. So my question is can I put that .050 chain in my .043 bar?
Nope, need that 3/8" Piccolo Chain.

There are three of them, looks to be unused. I have no use for them.

Bought it.

It's a 362, Built6spdMCSS recommended this as I was after a 20" bar. Power to weight and fuel economy all seemed to be right up there. Next week I go to MI to cut down a small forest and I wanted something I knew wouldn't hold me up. I think I'll still bring the wee Poulan for branches and small stuff. This one sounds way nastier than the JV chainsaw though. Louder too, I still need to get a helmet, chaps(?), and some wedges. I grabbed an extra chain for the hell of it. It came with a green chain so I grabbed a yellow to see if I like that or not. Gonna start with the green as it's more forgiving. I'm thinking I ought to grab a file or something to keep the chain sharp?

Looks like the Manual Carb MKII Model too, post a pic of the other side of it.

Here is mine..

MS362 SIDE2.jpg

I use my 362 for mid range stuff with a 20" Bar & 3/8" Yellow Chain. Start with the green to get a feel for it, that yellow will cut much faster. Look up the file size for both, probably the same. 7/32" if I remember right.

MS362 is the same weight as the MS271 Farm Boss and MS291, much more power and longevity. Hard to beat a Pro Saw.

Supercharged111 when you get a feel for it and get it broken in, I can tell you how to pull off the Carb Restrictors and open up the Muffler a hair, what I did to mine and it helps.

Yeah it's carb'd, I wasn't sure if the fuel injected stuff had issues so wanted to avoid it.

It took a little poking around to find one locally, Ace and Big R had a bunch of homeowner saws. This place had the carb'd saw with the 20" bar I was after so I grabbed it. They got me all registered for the warranty too.

Yup that is the Manual Carb MKII Model, plenty of power. I like mine, added the factory Dual Dawg Kit. Captive Bar Nuts in the Clutch Cover are nice.

So these aren't Fuel Injected, the M-Tronic is just electronic controlled Carb. The 500i is Fuel Injected and has issues.
