yes,GM still uses those in the pick ups,fenders and wheelhouses to retain splash shields.i get them from aveco. i can picture the box but the number escapes me.

its a secret lol... i used 1500 grit wet sand paper. then used a cutting compound with a buffer. then used a finishing compound again buffed them. then used McGuire glaze wax.

Got my new RCI fuel sender in today. It's a whole lot more simple than the $100 tube type that's installed and failed twice now. I'll have to pull some of the safety foam from the cell, but no biggie on that.

Just finished up draining the "break in" oil out of the LS, and filled it up with some Mobil 1 and a new Delco filter, cause that's what the General recommends.
