It's been stupid warm here for January, just not right for this time of year!
Same here, gonna hit 66 today that is pretty much summer weather here at times.......

Speaking only for myself, I will take the Jeopardy category, "Stupid Warm Weather in January" as the best Christmas gift of all and offer a prayer of thanksgiving for it without hesitation!!

Got out to the shop about 1.30 and managed to put in almost 4 hours of time on the welding bench. Just the barest hint of breath in the air. Perfectly comfortable with just having a heavy flannel bush jacket on under my welding leather. Managed to extend the mounting arms for both fender brackets and got the welds ground down and metal finished to not only a flat surface but ones that look very close to vintage original for the application.

And it was still decently warm when I shut down the bench, closed up, and came back in the house; no need to nuke a cuppa to thaw my guts out. Long ranger for here is fairly static and tending to remain about as is for the present. Glad I am not in Minnie/St. Paul as they are getting the better part of a foot of "cement snow", aka "heart attack snow", that thick, heavy, high water content stuff that can do damage to muscles and other body parts trying to move it by hand and which can be death to a snow blower drive unless caution is taken.

Of course there is always February but by then the days are getting visibly longer and that helps as well. Only around 77 days left until Spring!!

I'm driving my SS into work tomorrow and they installed some plastic speed bumps along the way now. Only one way to find out.

Here is how low the front is at the moment.

Do all G body headers hang so low? Mine are the same way, hanging below the control arm mounts like that.

What did you use to remove the rust stain from the headlight bezels?

Muscled the 8.5 into place last night since I'm too stubborn to ask for help. Backing plates and axles are in, but I have to get some better snap ring pliers to button up the truetrac install. My middle level pliers don't have the right size ends to hold the damn snap ring, go figure. I'll try to remedy that this afternoon and get back to e brake setup since I got sidetracked with front coilover install.
