tell me do you know anybody who held onto an Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra (FWD) for that long?

no not that long, but i own 2 fwd 1990 centuries and ive beat the piss out of both, and when i say beat i meant take off jumps of at least 12ft of air at one point, the car even still drove after that. my current century which is my daily, got jumped over some train tracks over the weekend and got some rediculous air....i still drive it 40-120 miles every day, so all im saying is they can be put up to a serious f-ing beating

I can't even remember how many people I knew back in the 80s that drove a G-body. At least 50 people, maybe more. Those cars were everywhere back then.

The Cutlass in the Mid 80's was the best seller for GM !

The Cutlass was a best seller before that, the 77 Cutlass was the best selling car in the country. Don't see alot of them around anymore though.

tell me do you know anybody who held onto an Oldsmobile Cutlass Cierra (FWD) for that long? We can thank Mr. Roger Smith for ruining GM and the cars that they now make (no RWD, no frame, unibody construction) he was at the forefront of that bonehead move.

I don't know anybody personally, but I see quite a few of them still around. And teh unibody has been around for over 40 years. My 68 Nova was a unibody. The FWD is not a bad idea, and it has it's place. I like mine in the winter, easier to pull a car through snow than push it through.

i remember back in the mid to late 80s(i was born in 81)my moms boyfriend was a mech. and used to do all sorts of side jobs in gbody and had a monte ss for a few months before he made my moms 81 camaro drag car for a groshery getter(sp?). i remeber sitting in shotgun and shed pull up to a stoplight and some dude would rev his engine and my mom would point at the guy and rev her engine. ive never seen so many doods lower there heads in fear. i remember she raced a friend of hers who was a cop, she left him so far back, she stopped for cigs, then drove home before he even caught up. when he finally came to the house, he said "please dont race around here." and left with his tail between his legs. the reason i have an elky today was because my mom's boyfriends friend had a gbody elky and i would sometimes go with him to get beer and hed race anyone who would pull up next to him. me sitting shotgun and him shifting the three on the tree was a blast and i always wanted an elky from then.
