Yipp Yipp Yaphank! Right down the road from where I grew up. Were you one of the DOE guys who used to chase us dumbass kids around while we were riding dirtbikes in the woods nearby?

They were chasing you away for your own good. Who knows what the government dumped back there in the 40's/50's.

Have you ever checked to see if you glow in the dark?

Nope , I was one of the guys driving around the woods in my own 4x4 checking out the sights ! Lotsa neat stuff in those woods. Do you know that all those big pine trees were planted by the CCC after WWl ? If you look at them theyre all in pretty straight rows. The trenches they used to use for training are still in a few areas. I remember the SCPD bomb squad came a couple of times to take grenades out that were dug up when they were changing underground lines. Pretty crazy stuff.

I'm, uh, I'm a pet psychiatrist. I sell couch insurance. Mm-hmm, and I test-market positive thinking. I lead a weekend men's group, we specialize in ritual killings.

(Bonus points to anyone familiar with the above reference. Seriously, I sell cars at a large Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Subaru/Kia/used autoplex. Been there over 19 years now.)

Now we know who gets all of the ladies! 😀 😛
Not even close! I deal with the ugly, broken pools and spas. Hardly ever see the stereotypical cougar....
But I am married to a super hottie. 🙂
...and yes- I know how lucky I am. She texted me today to remind me I needed spark plugs while I was out.

There's a lot of Long Island history thrown away in those woods. We used to do a lot of wheelin in places way off limits now. We used to hang out in the ruins of the RCA building too, or ride our bikes past the Tesla foundations. It's amazing the amount of Gov't stuff in the woods or stuff that just got plowed under and lost to time. Sorry to hijack the thread.
