But in reality, I am a Logistics Management Specialist for Uncle Sam. Actually, I have been wearing a camouflage business suit for 35 of the last 34 years ( took a year off transitioning from Active to N.Guard) I was an Ammo tech, a recruiter, truck mechanic and now I (am supposed to ) fuel heli-copters. I have also worked at Autozone (to pay for my Harley) and the local Harley dealer in the parts dep't (to pay for my truck)
Mainly, I service, update, repair and maintain Logistics Information Systems. " What a long strange trip it has been"
Retiring from paid employment for good in a little over 6 years

Not sure what that's all about. I don't work for Honda so I can't speak on their behalf. My trip is related to the Takata problem that many of the manufacturers are left to deal with. I'm just a gunslinger for hire.

I'm a supply-side automotive electronics industry analyst. I know, exciting...WOO! Prior to that, I was actually a senior editor at a truck & SUV website and magazine for about 13 years. As fun as parts of that job were, it was getting kind of stale, and it seemed like I was kind of maxing out on the career ladder. When a more junior co-worker was promoted ahead of me, that's when I realized I wasn't in the "cool kids" club and started looking for opportunities elsewhere. Current job pays much better, and is work-from-home, so can't complain too much.

They are. I'm a subcontractor. They're taking this very seriously. In offshore markets that are technically serviced under Honda America they hold events like that. In the states they've been going door to door and performing inflator replacements on the spot. Takata built the shitty inflators but Honda is trying to make it right. This recall is gigantic and industry wide. Shrapnel to the face is pretty serious. If any of you guys got a notice for any of your cars, Honda or otherwise, go get it taken care of. It's free so you have no excuse.
