So it would be an adapter that has a G-Body bolt pattern and then a corvette bolt pattern on the other end?
Yes, they have the same bolt pattern.....You would need to get an adapter (something like this : http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-pcs-2-5-x...Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cc65bb145&vxp=mtr)...
They bolt to your hub, and the adaptor bolts to your wheel. These are the correct bolt pattern, and the right thread on the lug studs for our cars. You would need to find the backspacing for the vette wheels, and get the right thickness to maintain the 4-4.5" backspacing for the car. I have (2) 16x8" wheels (GTA like) that have the 6.5" backspacing. I bought 2.00" adaptors just like this, and that gives me 4.5" backspacing. These adaptors are hubcentric (tightly fit on the hubring, not supported by the wheel studs).

I looked up the backspacing for the wheels. It says that the front (17"x8.5") has 6.9" of backspace and the rear (17"x9.5") has 7.4" of backspace. So I would have to get adapters that are 3.00" wide? And The corvette wheels have the same bolt pattern as a gbody?

Based on backspacing you just gave, you would need about 2.5" adapters for the front, and 3" adapters for the rear....those are some big adapters, (as I have 2 inch adapters myself), and that would still boggle my mind, to use 2.5 - 3"......I don't know how anything else would be affected (turning/rubbing issues), but i am sure someone else knows, and can chime in. My rears fit perfect with my combo. 255/50/16 on 8.00" wheel, 6.5" backspacing with 2.00" adapters.

I''m not sure how the rubbing would be either. I have 275's on the back now and I want to keep it that way, I was planning on getting air shocks to raise the car up about an inch because they rub when you hit big bumps. I havent seen any 3" adapters, but i have seen a lot of 2". Is that as big as they come?

I'll have some pics of the American Racing T70R's that are silver with a polished lip. The silver goes great with the bottom half silver of the 442 IMHO.
