Found this while I was out & about on the weekend.

79 Cutlass Supreme Brougham .........solid body, frame & floors.

305, T Top, Air( Tempermatic) P/L tilt, delay wipers, 55/45 seats.
Nice black interior......check out the fabric... it looks original though.
F41 suspension with fender to core support bars
Runs nice, I didn't drive it but he tells me it has a fresh safety(was an out of province car).

What do ya think it's worth?

That interior is... umm...interesting. As for value, it depends on your area, but I would expect no less than $1500-2,000, and no more than $3500. It has the fact that it is already Chevy powered going for it, as well as the T tops and F-41 suspension. The negatives are the paint and the "unusual" interior, although the black plastic is a huge plus as it is both hardest to find and the most desirable color.

Yeah that interior fabric..... :? The thing is it's pretty tough to find a solid Gbody around here at all for a decent price. You don't see any of the early Cutlass either. It's not that I'm actually looking for another project, I just happened to find it. It pretty much just needs paint and well...... maybe something with that interior fabric.

i would offer 1k... i mean if it passes a legit cert... its worth every penny of 1500... but being a canadian car (i KNOW canadian cars) i would be pretty skeptical of it being THAT solid.

Sorry bout that. Yeah he wants $1500 for it. I didn't climb under it but did look at the frame which is solid. He is a Cutlass fanatic, actually bought it for a parts car and said it's way too nice to part out. I looked it over for quite some time and there's not alot wrong with it. He said when it was up on the hoist the floor pans are still yellow.

I'd offer him $1000. I like that body style and the TTops are pretty hard to find those years. $1500 ain't bad by any means but I'd offer $1000

If you do buy it, don't have the seats reupholstered. Buy another set (buckets!) and have them done in black. That way, you can preserve the car's character without having to live with it. Who knows? Maybe someone wants that stuff. That's what I plan to do with my Brougham stuff when I finally swap in a 5 speed and some buckets.
