Yeah that's something I talked with the guy about, he found it wierd that it was column shift.

If you do buy it, don't have the seats reupholstered. Buy another set (buckets!) and have them done in black. That way, you can preserve the car's character without having to live with it. Who knows? Maybe someone wants that stuff. That's what I plan to do with my Brougham stuff when I finally swap in a 5 speed and some buckets.
