I think the ease of obtaining add on GN exterior parts and emblems is why its so popular. I will admit the majority Ive seen were not what most would consider a "good clone/tribute", but a clone/tribute none the less.
I also believe because they are so easy to modify and or improve on is why you dont see too many in orginal condition anymore. And it would seem most dont think they are old enough to restore into original condion. IMHO
A GN clone with a Chevy 350 is a dime a dozen around here.
But back to the original topic-
Another thing I dislike about G-bodys is the craptactular t-top design. I worry about getting morning dew on my car if I ever have to leave it out overnight. I pop the tops off and let it air dry as soon as the sun comes out.
I think that most people dont realize how clean a basic trim gbody can look. I dont believe every MonteCarlo/OlsCutlass/BuickRegal needs to look like their Superior trim levels. Ive seen plenty of great looking G's with chrome grilles and side trim.
