Damn nice car! Dont listen to the "purists", build YOUR car the way YOU want it!

I never said that it wasn't a nice car, because it is a very nice car. Just not what I would have done. I said that I wouldn't do that but that is just me and anyone can do what they want with their car thats whats great about cars you make them for yourself and not for anybody else. I learned a long time ago that if you try to make you car to please other people you will never be happy with it. I like to keep most of my cars stock because that is what I like. I meant no disrespect with my earlier comment. It is a very nice car and it was done extremely well and looks great. I would rather see people doing things like that with these cars than the ones that just sit and rust away. So yes congratulations on being the owner of a great piece of Oldsmobile history, and welcome.
Yeah... now you say that -- now that you know she's a girl. Lol j/k 😛

There was another thread about 2 weeks ago, where a new guy posted a hello and some pictures of a H/O Hurst Olds and it was modified, it was a well done car but the guys on this board butchered him, like all out bad-mouthed and nobody even welcomed him here (well, I tried to, but he probably left) -- all because of their opinion of what shouldn't have been done to the car. It was brutal, and it was shameful. Maybe because of that thread, people are being extra careful here.

I don't think anyone said anything disrespectufl here at all. Actually VERY well said there Joel86Cutlass... hats off to you.

So this car isn't back-halved? (not that it matters, this car looks like it was very well done) Would live to see some pics of the rear end set up. And what size are those huge tires back there?

This is another one of those cars that I'm really excited to see some videos and more pics.

First off now now kids don't make me send you to time out. I haven't taken offense to anything said, everyone has their opinion and that is why I am showing my car, I just wanted to see what people thought. It definitely won't change my mind on how I feel about my car. I love what it looks like. And as the saying goes if there not talking bad about you, your not doing something right. Somebody asked about our other cars, 63 Chevy II with a 421 motor, 2100 Lbs without driver, in thr process of being completely redone for my oldest to drive. Like my husband says we are going to find out how good of a driver he really is with that car. 76 true SS Nova with a 388 motor, 3400 lbs without driver it runs 10.30 1/4 mile all motor. The other 4 are junior dragsters and yes I consider them race cars, all of my kids started out racing them. 3 of them run 7.90 1/8 mile and 1(the lucas car) runs 8.90 1/8 mile and that is what my 13 year old is running right now. I haven't moved him up to 7.90 yet until I (not my husband)am comfortable plus he just loves his car.

I'm quite passive, and though I respect the care people give to rare models... I could care less about the "Purist" stuff.
... I love what you've done. It brings a reall badass attitude to the already cool Hurst
It's super clean, and stays true to the Hurst look. I love the suttle appearance, and definitly one of the classier drag cars I've seen.

What he said.....
I like the heck out of it!!!!

I really like this...

No I don't think anyone was being disrespectful either, I just didn't want my comment to be seen that way because that isn't how I am. Anyone who talks sh*t on someone else's car is just that, ignorant and jealous.
