Hello all,
I am writing to get this issue solved ( what flywheel do I need?).
Background: I have a 1985 El Camino with the original 305 with two piece rear seal (my best guess on the rear seal). Currently. I have Turbo 350C behind the 305. My intention is to replace the Turbo 350C automatic transmission with a 5 speed T5 manual transmission. The T5 manual transmission is from a 1986 Camaro. My understanding is as follows: i.) my current flex plate is 153 tooth; ii,) the 1986 Camaro used a 10.5 inch clutch (sometimes described as a 10.4 or 10 3/8 inch) and similarly sized pressure plate; and iii.) 1986 was the FIRST year for one piece rear seal (if my understanding on this issue is incorrect then please let me know).
Question: which flywheel do I order from Rock Auto (see pic)?
Many thanks in advance.
PS Rockauto references VIN G and distributor less ignition in making the flywheel choice. I do not gave the VIN for the Camaro donor car.
