If people think that a 7.5 is strong thay are not making any power or torque.
Tell that to user jimmyp618. Hes got a 11-12 (cant remember exactly) second car with a 7.5.

From what i've read, a built 7.5 should hold up if i run street tires. Right? I dont plan on hitting the track much anyway.

if you're planning on hitting the track I wouldn't suggest the auburn posi. The pinion gears are small and they can't take too much power. I have maybe 375 hp with a 5 speed standard and I blew the pinion gears in mine and I didn't lite up the street tires that often. If I were sticking with the 7.5 I'd run a locker with upgraded axles.

Yes, sometimes, very rarely, a 7.5 actually holds power. But parts availability isnt that great because overall its a sh*t axle. Youd save money in the long run with an 8.5

Say NO to a gov lock. I exploded one in my truck just passing someone on a wet road, luckly I was within a 1/2 mile of my destination.

Yeah im going to stick with the 7.5, but i thought a auburn posi was a locker

this is a locker...it gets rid of the spider gears and it will ratchet around the corner but lock up in a straight line
