3.08 should be alright with a 3 speed transmission....back in the 60's and 70's the 3.08 was a pretty common gear with the 3 speed auto transmission's back then. There are some online programs that will give you the rpm you'll be doing according the gear ratio's and tire size

Is the location of this sheet the same for all gbodys or just certain models?

Build sheets can be any number of places, or could not be in the car at all.

I've found them behind door panels, under the carpet, on top of the headliner, under the front and rear seats, on top of the fuel tank, and even under the hood insulation.

The "main" build sheet will usually be under the seats, while the others are itemized to certain areas of the vehicle.
They were used by assembly line workers to instruct them as to what parts to put on each individual car.

On my 442, I found the crumbled remains of the main sheet under my rear seat, found another on top of the fuel tank with suspension and exhaust info, and another behind the driver-side door panel listing interior trim level and colors.

On my Buick wagon, I found two under the drivers seat, and one under the hood insulation.

The sheet on my Olds wagon was under the rear seat, but had been turned into a mouse nest... :x

I found the buildsheet behind the passenger side door panel on an 85 GP. But where would mine most likely be on my 83 monte? Id like to find it.
