What is your drivetrain?

I am going to be switching by drivetrain In my 80 El camino and have a million ideas but i thought I ask to see what some people on here are using. What engine trans and rear are you using? what is your mpg? Carb Efi? gear size?

5.7 litre LS-1 with factory fuel injection 4L60E trans 7.5 rear with torsen lsd 3.23 ratio, for now. Dont know about MPG as it is not running yet, but entire drive train came from 2002 Z28 so mileage should be in the same area as the Camaro. This is my second choice for rear gear, my first is in my signature line, if the 3.23 torsen does not perform to my liking I will go with the 3.73 and auburn posi.

468 Olds w/EFI, T-56 6 speed, Ford 9" with 4.30 gears and Detroit Tru-trac diff. No mileage numbers yet.

When I bought it: 305 SBC, 200 metric trans, and 7.5 with 2.29 gear
Now: 565 Big Block Chevy, TCI 400 full manual competition trans and a Moser 9" with a Detroit Locker and 4.10 gear
It gets decent mileage when idling.

New- Buick 231, T-350-C, 2:78 open rear. Now- Pontiac 301 w/Q-jet, Saginaw 4 speed w/3:50 first gear, 2:78 posi rear. 20mpg hwy.

Stock 305 w/Quadrajet, 200-4R, 3.42, 20mpg.

305 bored and stroked. Ported heads. 600cfm holley. (Trying to sell by the way) 700r4 out of a 90's pickup. And 3.42 summit gears. Saw about 18 mpg on the highway. Probably 14 city.

468 BBC,550+ HP,Doug Nash 4+1 5 speed,Ford 9 inch,3.0:1 rear gear.If I drive it easy on the highway,I have got 16-17 mpg.

I am running a 383 SBC , 700R4 trans, 91 Corvette independent rear. 3.08 gears, carburetor, on highway about 23mpg
