What rear ends fit g-bodys?

Obviously speaking of the 3rd/4th generation F-Body (for anyone that wants to say "those are leaf spring") :roll:

the leaf spring F body rears have the same issue as the 3rd and 4th gen, there are no ears for the upper control arms. There are ways to get around that but it seems most don't want to bother

WoW ... I really thought that they were setup the same way as our GBody's :oops:

Does anybody know if they are the same width :?:

the reason why they don't is they are a unibody so there is no structure for the upper control arms.

Nope, they are wider.

Ya learn something new every day 8)

It's funny because I knew about the torque arm because I used to have an '89 Formula and I remember removing that thing when we pulled the LO3/700R4 for the 350ci implant. If I remember correctly, we couldn't get the arm off the transmission and ended up leaving the transmission in for the motor swap :lol:

No gain in using the F-body rearend, same 7.5...unless you take the '93-up carrier and add some 28 spline 8.5 axles to your existing G-body rearend housing, solves most problems.

By the way, the lower control arms are the same length as G-body.
