What is the most horsepower that I can put in a t top Gbody? I was telling my brother in law that the 4.3 is also a V8, but he keep telling me a 4.3 is a V6. Am I just loosing my mind or he just don't know?

Yes, there were two 4.3s. The Vortech V6 and the 4.3 (265 cid) V8 from the LT engine family.
The body of the T-top cars usually had body bracing to prevent twisting. The frame will twist before the body and the frame can start twisting around 400 hp only at extremes. Meaning, drag racing with slicks and a hard suspension, or auto crossing with a stiff handling suspension. With a stock suspension, 400 hp will do nothing to the frame or the body. Unfortunately the frame is usually the last thing guys strengthen. Unless they did frame-off mods of course. There is a post in the suspension forum that shows some of the ways to strengthen the frame without removing the body.

The people sold the LT1 after telling me I could get it. Now I am searching for another LT1 near me. I want to go with a 383, but I fuel injected.

I got an LT1, but I may put it in my Cutlass now. I finally got around to put a tune up on my SS and now I am thinking about keeping this one original. Even though its a 305 it has a little power. Links to videos below, for some reason my phone change the quality or the video.
