I plan on setting up a set of dedicated wheels for the track and am in need of recommendations. What I need to know is what size wheel, backspacing of the wheel, and size slick will fit on my car. I plan on just pulling a set of steel wheels out of the junkyard, but backspacing has me concerned about frame clearance. Any help is appreciated.

If you have a set of slicks your willing to sell let me know.

for the power youre making, 26x8.5 will be plenty. no way youll have fitment issues with them either

Set of 15x8 rally's with standard backspacing (I beleive 4") and a set of 28/9-15 fit really nice on my car. I had probably 1-1.5" between the tire and the frame at ride height.

For what it's worth, this weekend I hooked better with my Nitto drag radials than the slicks set at 14psi. My best 60' was 1.68 with the Nitto 555's set at 20psi

I run 26-10.5-15 on a old set of chevy 15by8 with 4bs with no problems.
