What sort of fuel mileage should I expect?

Agree, you know how many have the CCC up here? About as many that came with the Olds 307, not very many at all.

I know that my car is CCC. But im going to go get the exhaust leaks checked today. Would not having cats make my gas mileage bad too? And my car also has 200,000 kms on it aswell 😛 How many kms does yours have ?

without cats your computer could be making a mistake, and if the check engine light is on try clearing the code! it should make only mildly better gas mileage unless you tune the engine for maximum performance then it will not work in your favor in that case it would have the opposite effect because its more free flowing

Oops i just saw what i posted and made a mistake. I know that my car is NOT a CCC 😛 Would not having cats still make a difference?

Yes, it would give you better mileage, and it would smell better too. 😉

Haha thats for sure! Does it matter which cats to get, should it be high performance ones or would regular ones do fine? And how much of an increase in fuel consumption would i see?

Well, I did the calculation later night when I filled her up, 17 MPG!

Yea thats what i get around, last tank i got 18.36mpg which i guess is average. But still not at the 20mpg mark yet! The Lowest mpg i ever got was 8!!!! I only got 195km!

try this: put a little lucas oil down the dipstick of your oil stick so it goes straight to the crank case and see if your car throws lighter shifts. I gained an easy 2-3 mpg in my dad's durango with this quick cheap trick while I was down in TN. Obviously, it's not going to make a difference for everybody but it's worth trying if you have some around, or if it sounds like a 10 gauge shell just went off everytime your car shifts like my dad's durango did when it got 105*F outside

Anyway I saw a post where a bunch of guys on here said they dont like Lucas oil and it 'doesnt work' and all that but I disagree I have used it with good results!
