thanks (olds 307 and 403) didn't see youre reply before I typed mine that's exactly what I was looking for thanks

Will another manifold with one opening fit on that side of the engine or did all 307's have the crossover pipe..

You can probably make your own block off - don't know if they are still making that part. I believe you can use the passenger side manifold off of a late 70's Toronado (probably with a 403, but I bet they're all the same in those years)

OR....

Price some W & Z manifolds for a muscle car ear Olds 442

I built a Cutty years ago with a Toronado manifold on one side.

Headers.

These would sure look nice !!

Wow, definite OEM power robbing monstrosity. Header time all day.

if you look at it from a different angle it was much cheaper replacing individual pipes than to replace the y pipe when one side was corroded and with the intended use of the car it didn't suffer from that set up.

You cannot use W/Z manifolds on a SBO. They hit the oil filter adapter on the passenger side and aim at the frame on the driver's side. Too bad they don't fit. You can get Sanderson shorty headers, 1 5/8" primary and 3" outlet. They are compact, nearly as much as manifolds and fit the stock starter. Around $350 for plain steel.https://m.summitracing.com/parts/snh-o351-p

Okay... so my timing is off a little bit here, I know...
This is a mod I had done for a torque monster I was assembling a while back but here goes. I learned this one while peeping JW over at v8 buicks... machinist in langley saw the posts and loved it! Included it in my freshened up head job. not too sure if and how it can apply to your heads... but thinking outside the box is what "rodding" is all about. hope it helps somewhat...

I had an old Delta with a 455 Olds and wanted to do the same thing run true duals and I kept a short piece of the crossover mounted to the passenger side manifold and made a block off plate a welded that on to the piece, it worked great and cost me very little time and money although headers would be nice.
