Update: Chose my material. I bought birch plywood in 5.2 mm thickness. I got 2 2'x4' sheets for around $10 at Lowes. Now I just need to do my design work and find some cardboard to make my templates out of. I am still fixing the floors though and getting to the end of my semester at college, so ti may be a week or two before I am ready to do that phase. This body work and fabrication phase is taking more of my time than I thought it would!
