Easy to check that, the 2004r will have OD on the shift indicator.

A 350c or 200c will only have D range. The pans are the same, but the 200c has "METRIC" stamped into the pan. Also, the 350 will have a vacuum modulator, while the others do not.

Really? What year did they start making the 2004r? Would mt '80 Malibu Classic with a 305 have a 350 or a 200?

a 350c would have an electrical connector on the body for the converter lockup.
they started making the r4 in 82 but they didn't always use it. around the mid 80's they used it more and stopped using 350's, but the smaller engines got the 200c.

Actually, in '81 you could get OD on the B body. But yes, A body did come later, and with limited availability.

Should be a lockup converter on everything from '80 and up.

The 305ci could have a 200c or a 350c, just have to look at the trans pan.
