You can get a trans out of a 2000- 2006 2 wheel drive truck but lq4s usually use 4l80s. You would have to build a 4l60 to handle what you want, a stock 4l80 will last a lot longer without needing a rebuild
You could go with the transmission your car is supposed to have...a 200 4R. A lot of guys have used them behind LS motors and you already know the 200 4R is the factory transmission for a turbo Buick. They can be built relatively cheap, have a desirable gear ratio and will take the abuse. Check out these guys...very popular with the Grand National crowd with many solid reviews.
Do it, you wont regret it. It'll handle whatever you want to throw at it and thats what is usually behind an lq4. A stock 4l80 will have no problem handling 500hp long term
