What your neighbor sounded like after making that video

the neighbors are aware he is a moderator here so he is permitted to do as he pleases or he will give them a lifetime ban from living in that neighborhood........😀

Too bad you didn't test them all with an H-pipe since that can change the tone of the first two.

To make this I just dug through the most similar shots in old videos I had. I wish I had added the h pipe way earlier instead of changing mufflers.

I did make this video too, comparing h pipe vs. no h pipe. You can kinda hear the difference.

is this the same car just with different wheels and plates?

Yes, some of these clips were taken 3-4 years ago. the most recent being with the super 10's. These are all over the time I've had the car.

Same wheels, just painted.

The clip with the super 10's is after engine was rebuilt. Same 350, same camshaft, just with more compression and Vortec heads.

So did the exhaust make a difference in the 1/4 mile?

I only went to the track once when I had the Super 40's on. I never made a clean pass, it was a "one tire fire" smoke show all the way down the track.

However I did dyno the car when I had the super 40's on. It made 302hp/323tq

3 years later I had the car back on the dyno. This time with the h pipe and super 10 mufflers. Besides the h pipe, mufflers, tuneup, and 3.73 rear gear, nothing else was changed. It made 311hp/324tq.

Both times were on a dynojet.

we tested our circle track sportsman with an H, an X and straight duels and there was no difference in lap times between the 3 set ups. We chose to go with straight duels so in case of any impact on the exhaust that exits on the passenger side just in front of the rear tire it would be easier to fix

Interesting. Also from what I’ve seen between an X and H the performance gain has been marginal.
