What's it worth?

See what I mean? It was either Suzy Hurst's, Smokey Yunick's, a Yenko, or has a 455 and is one of 36 made with papers?!?!?!?! You see and hear it all, and God only knows what is for real out there. I'll bet there are more people getting totally ripped off on so called "rare," classic cars than with diamond jewelry today. A lot of these guys at those auctions these days are the neo-Harley over 50 executive nerds who have so much money to blow they couldn't care less about what it is they are REALLY buying, it just has to look and sound "cool," and preferably be Boyd Coddington-ish.

BTW, that H/O ad is for real, maybe someone should call and really drill that seller.

Quoted from an expert source:

"After a 3 year hiatus, the H/O returned in '79 on GM's newly downsized Cutlass body. The first H/O to be built entirely by Oldsmobile Division, it was also the first H/O that did not offer a 455 engine. But it was the only GM A-body to offer a 350 V8 in '79. White and black again were the color choices, but with a wider choice of interior trims than ever before. Gold paint covered the hood, most of the top, and the very rear of the trunk. The aluminum wheels were also painted gold, along with the grille. At $2054 for the conversion, it was the most expensive H/O ever, but even so, sales held steady at 2499 units."

Goes to show you can't trust the horse theives out there. 8)
