Waste of time, material and money

Thay can sound decent at idle but as soon as you accelerate, people will laugh at you. Have you ever heard a Mustang/Camaro V6 with dual exhaust (Ranger and S10's are popular ones also) they sound like complete garbage when they are at any other RPM besides idling  Please do not put dual exhaust on a V6 GBody 🙁 It sends a bad message to the public.
If you are really wanting to do some type of perofrmance exhast on the V6, have an aftermarket Y-pipe, high flow cat and a good Magnaflow or Borla SINGLE outlet muffler. IMO, still kind of a waste of money. And believe me, I am not just saying this for no reason. I put a $300 exhaust system on a NEW 3.8L with an Edelbrock cam, intake and 4bl carburetor with headers and it still sounded like garbage

I have the Hooker GN cat-back system on my 86 Cutlass with supercharged 3800 and sounds decent. At idle is pretty throaty sounding (mainly due to engine mods and cam) and a lot of people dont believe its a V6- BUT as most have said on here when you rev the engine or stand on it the sound goes to crap, just part of a V6 unfortunately. I have installed a few of the Hooker kits and they bolt up nicely, all mandrel 2.5" piping that Ys right behind where the factory cat goes. They used to be in the $250-$300 range with their Aerochamber mufflers and the pipes are nice quality. The GNs sound a bit better since they have a turbo to quiet them down. I dont have a cat on my car and is pretty loud but if your engine is stock then it probably wont be too bad. I also had a stock F-body NA 3800 S2 engine in the car with this exhaust and was pretty tame. For the money its hard to beat especially with mufflers, just my $.02

Videos and pics? I wanna see this car. And it's rare for a V6 to excite me lol.

x2. I'd like to see how this sits in the car and how you went about it. Better yet, how does it run? Maybe you should start a thread so we don't totally hijack this one.
