What's your second hobby?

I'm big into collecting and modifying 1/18 diecast model cars...
I buy what I like, and mod them to my liking... usually just quick wheel swaps and such, but a few have gotten more involved.
Still working on my replica of my 442. Nobody makes an Olds, so I hacked up a Buick and made it myself! Almost ready for paint!

Blake442, I applaud your skills. That's not the easy conversion many would assume. Can't wait to see it finished!

I love Bow Hunting.
I Live in Maine but Bow hunt in Southern Ohio and started a Hunting Club there 10 years ago.
I now have 11 Leases and over 10,000 acre that I lease out for members to join in with me on to hunt for Giant, Whitetail Deer.

I'm 62 and been retired coming up on 10 years now.
My other (and main hobby) is stock investing. I'm just an individual investor and spend time almost every day at my desk researching and managing. I usually don't get out to my garage and tinker with the cars until late morning or afternoon because of that.
I also dabble with photography. No longer in film but have an arsenal of digital cameras.

Did I buy my 85 442 air cleaner from you?

If it was a few swap meets ago, probably. I'm with a group of guys in that spot, and my friend parted a 442 out a few years back and has been slowly selling it off there. Most of it is gone now.

Radio! Beside being a ham/amateur operator, I (well used to... need a new space to work in atm, somebody's g-bodies took up my space in the shop lol) repair old vacuum tube radios from the 1920's-1960's. Amazing these things actually work.

Cool mini garage, Blake.
Nicely done. Where do you find parts like the wheels and such? I know there's alot of fabrication on the body, etc.

ebay is a good source for various bits, as well as a few other online retailers that carry wheel sets and motors and such...
Other times you need to cannibalize other cars to get what you need!
I think I have parts from 6 different cars in this build lol
This Monte SS donated its roof and a few other bits...

Blake,
I would've thought that parts and components for 1/18th scale cars are harder to come by than 1/24th scale models. I guess I was mistaken. Cool projects.
