Wheel balancing WTF?

Which Olds rims are these exactly?

why is it that tire shops don't know the difference and never even heard of lugcentric?
Oh, they've heard of it; they just don't have any tire monkeys that know how or never bought the fitting for the balancer. Most wheels have been hub-centric for a long time, now.

Nope. They have no idea what you're even talking about when you ask about lugcentric wheel balancing.

I know there are some late model Toyota's that have lugcentric wheels. I THINK even some GM's too.

I can understand if a shop doesn't have the proper equipment to do lugcentric balancing, but to not even know what you're talking about when you bring it up is a real WTF moment in my eyes. It's like not knowing something called a 'carburetor' exists in the world....

I don't recall the two types of balancing but obviously it exists. You decided against the 14" x 6" aluminum rims and went with the classic look.
