Wheel cylinder help

If you let the master go dry then you'll need to bench bleed the master before you bleed the wheels...

I never have used a clamp, I just replaced my combination valve, ebay part. before i used the vaccume pump I had the handle of a small pry bar between the pin and frame rail while I had my wife pumping up the brakes. Then I would go to the wheel cylnder to release the air /fluid while she was holding the pedal. This was slow and the wife started to whine thats why i bought the pump, it was quieter and cheaper than the wifes help. I think I paid less than 20 buck at harbor freight.

I have reset the proportional valve by going backwards and slamming on the brakes till I heard the valve click

Wow You actually heard it click. How fast were you going?

probably + -10 mph then slammed on the brakes...I had to do it a few times before it clicked. I had tried bench bleeding the brakes and then bleed the brakes but the rear would not bleed so in desperation since I was alone at the time I tried slamming the brakes on going forward and reverse.

So the valve stayed in or you did you have to bleed them right then? What method did you use for bleeding the rears?
