Bonnewagon my tool dealer has the same exact kit which he let me try before I buy and none of those work....
I will take a look at a thin wall socket and try that none of the sockets I have even go in to try that... :| just would hate to pound the socket in and ruin the chrome finish. FE3X CLONE here is a pic

Qdub I know these wheels were probably meant for a newer ride not sure which though I don't have all the specs on them except I bought the car without the wheels and the guy didn't have the locks to remove them for my stockers.... so I paid chump change for them! I am tossing the idea of tucked 22's but am low on funds to get it going besides my GP is a wallet drainer so I decided to keep it like that for now. biggest issues I have with it is that it's steering linkage is worn out, springs are weak, was thinking of replacing the tires with a 35 series tire to prevent rubbing. Got all the parts to rebuild the suspension ie bushings, ball joints, and steering linkage, or basically taking off my GP's rebuilt front end since it has polyghrapite bushings new napa "unbreakable" ball joints etc etc I was also thinking of installing the Hotckis coils of my GP since i'm planning coilovers as well. my bad for the rant!!

It shouldnt be too tight.could drill it,try an easy out on it.theyre usually just snugged up.

Or put a couple layers of tape around the hole and use a smaller chisel if you can get a good angle on it without wrecking the rim.ive done it before, takes a little patience and finesse

I already went through this on the 3rd car I owned back when lug nut locks were new. I realized they were stupid and took them off right away. There was nothing more irritating to me than having to give in give up and really find and way overpay for the damn key to get them off, the right one. Why are you guys so determined to rip it off with the wrong tool... What are the odds of him succesfully repeating that operation 3x on the next 3 wheels in a row without breaking a single one off... So they keys are made by some sleazy company of scumbags and you dont want to pay $20+ for the key.. who would. Life sucks. But you'll lose more money trying to beat 4 of them off in a row than just giving in and buying the right 'key'. I hate admitting when a situation has me by the balls but I guess to you guys denial isn't just a river in Egypt. Clearly without using the correct 'tool' if we can even call those pos keys a 'tool' rofl, you thinking that you can get all 4 of those off without damaging studs or scuffing the chrome is simply preposterous...

Pancero, these keys are not "one size fits all". Yes, if you know who made the lugnuts you can go to the trouble of contacting the manufacturer and buying a duplicate key however you usually need to have a key code that was included with the locks so that they can send you the correct pattern key.

I have also never heard of just "snugging up" the wheel lock nut. That nut should be torqued to the 80-90ft/lbs that all of the other lug nuts are torqued to and I doubt an easy out is going to work.

Your two options are to 1) buy a replacement key that matches your locking lug nuts and just zip them off or 2) buy the special tools that all the theives use to steel your wheels with the fancy pain in the butt locks. 😉

if you have a welder you can weld a nut to the top of the wheel lock nut and use that nut to remove it

^ yes that is what I was getting at posting that ebay auction to a similar key which is obviously not the EXACT match but you can try to heat it up just enough to get it off by doing it that way.

I'm thinking the same Pontiacgp... So I decided to search through the car seeing as the kid I bought it off of didn't know a whole lot about the car... Took out the GP to get room and lo and behold I found the key!!! TO EFFING BAD IT WAS THE WRONG ONE FML!!!

I did try to slide a socket it over it and see if it would slide the lock BUT of course not! the lock is oversized and it reduces the clearance between the lock and wheel... :| also I don't know who made those stupid locks! would I have trouble welding over chrome? the locks are recessed so it looks like a challenge. May try the chisel method too Thanks for the tips and suggestions fellows!
So to get over this BS I took out the GP for a cruise tonight before the snow flies supposedly Sunday! Man talk about a stress reliever! it also has wheel locks but I ordered 2 just in case this BS happens!! Even got a thumbs up from a homeless dude downtown Denver!
