when did olds change the rocket emblem?

What year did olds change the rocket logo from this:

Yeah, im not sure. I was guessing 86. Because the lower pic is the emblem on the euro fronts, but i have the top one on one of my dash pieces. but i also coulda sworn the lower one was on my stock steering wheel. Who knows maybe they used both at the same time for some years lol.

1980 was the last year for the old ones. And the funny thing is the older emblem looks newer than the 80's style IMO. The 70's one looks like a rocket, the 80's one looks like a square peace sign. Im going to be putting the 70's style on my car when I get around to putting the badging on for sure.
