Put some old never used 6x9 sparkomatics in some 6x9 boxes in the k1500, then swapped em into the regal to see if the new kickers were indeed damaged, they are. As well as my right front 3.5. New speakers here soon.

They were from 1985. Got em in the box from a local thrift store. Still had the Kmart sticker.

After tearing up the rug in my daughter’s bedroom for the new oak floor we decided an ice cream run was in order. Nice sunny afternoon in the 40’s so we took the ‘80 for a drive on the mainly dry roads but did manage to splash up some dirty water in a few spots along the way. Will have to give it a bath at some point but for now it isn’t a big deal. The car ran well with plenty of warm heat out the ducts. Really funny thing happened thought at in intersection I was stopped at. My wife hollered “Look at that, Mike!” I look to my left where I was planning to turn and, honest to God, there is a grey ‘80 Cutlass Calais coming to a stop! I let him turn and we both exchanged thumbs up and a smile. And here I was thinking I had the only one left in the area. His was in good shape, had the landau roof torn off but didn’t look rotten to my quick view of it in passing. Otherwise it was stock looking and in good shape.
