I agree, their ain't much appeal to the new cars these days. The big 3 come out and tempt us with something cool at first then you see it in the showroom or on the lot, check it out and almost have a heart attack when you see the price. It's sad in 2003 I bought my 03 Silverado it had 15,000 miles on it traded in a ranger and finaced 30,000 on it,(I worked endless hours to pay for it) with the highway miles on it now (almost 210,000) 11 years old and cleans up very nicely, runs and drive great, isn't worth even a third of what I paid for it. The design grew on me but I think after 2006 the Silverado's are but ugly, to pricy and some of the inteiors look so cheaply made. My mother inlaw bought a used 08 Vette sweet ride at first glance, rode great, nice power then I seen the door panels and I thought looks like a stripped down economy cars door panels, my door panels on my truck look like custom designer panels compaired to them. I like the new Camaro, Mustang and Challenger, but the later model years not so much they strayed too far in design for me on the Stang and they are all too pricey for me new. I don't think I'll ever finance 30,000 on a car or truck again, I'll stick with what I have and upgrade them as I have time and can afford to. The heck with a $500 plus car payment for seven years. I only finaced $50,000 on my home to begin with come on folks it's out of hand paying more to drive than to live in a house. However I'd love to see more new retro auto designs. It would be great to have a new old school ride with economy, power, taste and priced right.
