I have never seen one with W31 on it, interesting. Of course this is a replica of the aluminum center section 12 bolt cover 8.5" Type O diff W-27 option in a "GM" 10 bolt pattern. I plan on getting one for the 12 bolt Type O 8.5" in my 70S when I do the 3.90 gears and posi, go broke all at once. Of course the $2000 in upgrades for the 2004R needs to come first. Man, 3 grand in parts alone makes me think the 424 might have a TH350, maybe C and 2.78 gears behind it for a long time🤨.I wanted that one with the W-31 on it

I bought the Trick Flow 7.5", well Made in the USA one and used it at the track in my 88. When the No Slip became a spool, so I put the stock spider gears back in. When they exploded and destroyed the pinion, the cover only slowed their exit outside of the car. I used sheet aluminum along with the Right Stuff and still have it on the 88. Of course I upgraded to the Yukon spider gears, $75 well spent. No issues even with slicks in the 14's at the track.I bought a knock off TA style one from Ebay for the 7.5 in my Regal, I like having the thick aluminum cover with drain and fill plugs and the adjusters are easy to set.
