i would go with the flow techs, the hedman only have a 1 1/2 primary tube, too small and i would stick with a long tube header

ok... just had a brain fart and realized that I have vortech heads not gen I heads will the headers be the same?

i would definately spend the extra money and get the flowtechs, i have them, and i love them, great fit and even better sound. my friend and i have the same exhaust on our cars, 2 1/2" true duals, flowmaster 40 series and both exit at the same point. he has hooker headers and i have the flowtechs, his car has that turbo muffler sound, while mine has a really nice deep and aggressive tone. needless to sat hes going to be switching soon.

just ordered the flowtechs 🙂!!!!!

you will have a problem with the #5 spark plug with the flowtechs and vortec heads. i wound up useing a shorty plug from accel to make enough room to get the plug wire on. other than that they fit pretty well. the P/S was a bit of a PITA to get in, you need to have the front end pretty high, which is pretty normal.
you will destroy the paint during your engine break-in, but that makes for a great excuse to get them ceramic coated afterwards 😀

damn... whats a shorty plug? how much more money...🙁 this is taking forever to build funds!
